PONY IDENTIFICATION NUMBERS – SADDLECLOTH SHAMROCKS Each competing horse or pony or its rider/handler must wear its Competition Number at all times when competing. Competition Numbers (Shamrocks) must be collected from the Administration Office before the beginning of competition. A deposit of $10.00 must be paid on each number. This will be refunded when the number is returned at the end of competition.
STALLIONS Aonach follows the STALLION SAFE PRACTICE AND IDENTIFICATON guidelines implemented by Equestrian Australia (EA). Please ensure you have read the updated rules as at October 2021 on the EA website: https://www.equestrian.org.au/stallion-safe-practice ALL STALLIONS/COLTS over the age of 12 months must wear compliant green Stallion Identification by way of discs/bridle number holders and a suitable restraint at all times whilst away from their home premises at an event. Stallions are to be handled as per EA guidelines. Riders and/or handlers of colts/stallions must be over the age of 18 years Horse Float/Yard/Stable must display green Stallion Identification Card at all times. The ID card can be downloaded, filled in and printed from the website listed above. All riders/spectators are to respect stallions’ space.
EVENT MARSHALS The Event Marshal will be wearing a hi-vis vest and located near the warm-up arena.
LUNGING Please be considerate of others when you are lunging ponies/horses.
SPECTATORS Are very welcome to attend and access is free. Please be mindful of where you park. It is advisable to park under the pine trees near the indoor arena. Access is via the gate on Agriculture Avenue. Spectators are to remain behind arena fences at all times. Spectators with prams/wheel chairs please keep clear 20m from horses at all times, and always take extra caution moving through laneways. Video Cameras and equipment must be kept at least 10m from any arena.
DOGS Dogs must remain on a lead at all times and away from arena, laneway and stable areas. It is preferred that dogs remain within the camping area. Fox and mouse baits are laid periodically around the CSU Farm where the Equine Centre is located.

All persons who ride or tend a horse at Aonach Australia do so entirely at their own risk. Neither the CPBSA, Aonach Australia nor the committee or any member thereof, accepts any liability for any personal injury (including death) suffered by any person from or relating to any incident involving a horse or contributed to by the negligent act, error or omission of Aonach Australia, the Committee or a member thereof.
